It's taken about 10 months but it's finally done.  I commissioned a custom wheel to be built for me. 
After long wait it's finally in!  The wheel is a direct bolt on.  Oversize grip with deep inlays and real carbon fiber. 

Just thought I'd share Smiley

yup, it started out as a bone stock MS3 wheel.  It was built up, beefed up and CF'd

haha, I don't really ever see mazda 3 guys modding out their interior, doors or much else, pm me pics I'd love to see those doors!

I'll take some pics tomorrow or something...
I am thinking of actually taking most of the plastic trim pieces in the center console and water-transferring them either brushed aluminum or piano black.

Dude, if I were to do a steering wheel... I would probably have done a full block of milled aluminum at the bottom of the steering wheel kinda like the Audi RS4/R8 style steering wheels. They LOOK SOOO DOPE! I hope that when I pick up a B6 S4 I can pick one of those up as well.

Looks pretty good! perhaps you should carbon fiber wrap the center so it matches the rest of it.
