i think some one key'd my car, its a very thin single fine line on my passenger side door, its been there for a while and its not really super noticable, but then i called for a quote on scratches on doors and auto shops just said 500 bucks.

i find that to be RIDICULOUS.... is there anyone with expirence with this kinda thing around norcal? i'd buy ya beer and pizza maybe even set up a MOCC car wash and detailing meet?

it would be nice to get all the small imperfections out of our cars before the pleasonton auto show right?

How seep? I took car of some nasty bumper scraps with a paint pen looks ok

If its not too deep then take a 2000 grit sand paper and wet it with a solution of car soap and water. sand it in one direction, dont do circles. Side to side or up and down. While you sand it down dont apply too much pressure, stop and wipe the area as you go so you can check if the scratches are gone. when youre happy with it, get a micro fiber foam pad and apply compound, then polish, then wax.

I did this to two areas on my car and the scratches were deep too. looks brand new. Except for the area where I sanded it in circles. Its a bitch to compound/polish out. Ill try to find a video on youtube for you.
