Seeing how me and my partner are designing and building parts for the MS3s and other Mazdas, We both figured I should make a post here with some background and info about us. I'm Thiago Sousa. Im a 25 year old portugy from Massachusetts, born in Brazil. I started out as a helper and welder apprentice for a journeyman welder in late 2003. In one year I was certified and working as a sub contractor out of my own rig welding big pipelines all over so-cal. I've been welding non-stop since then and I have acquired 6 state certifications and always working on more. Here's a couple pics of random things.

That's just a a little quick sweep of what I do as my day job. I've also built a couple cars frame up including a 1941 Ford coupe with a full race frame and 350 0.40 over with all the goodies. I weld high pressure gas and LNG lines at least once a week. Full inspection including random x-ray quality checks. They'll come over and cut out an entire weld and send it out to the lab. I would then have to tie in what they cut out. Pretty brutal sometimes. lol There are also some 5000+ PSI jobs that are full ultrasound inspection, every joint. Including a NDT (non destructive test , while they are doing a visual) I weld within strict procedures sometimes written out in several pages. And now I'm very much into making MS3 parts. Again thanks for all your support.

Now onto my buddy Doug. I met him a little over a year ago through a roomate I had at the time. I don't even talk to the roommate anymore but Dougie is still around. A kung foo master and MMA head, he's a pretty wild and funny character to be around. Now when it comes to fabrication, this guy has a serious passion for it that comes along with a serious talent. Here is a big part of Doug's accomplishments. This is his first serious baby. its a pre runner dune buggy powered by a LS6 with 407 WHP, power goes to the ground via a Mendeola S4 sequential transmission. It's got 24" travel in the front 19" in the rear. He did 98% of the work on it including fabrication of the chassis and designing the suspension on a CAD program and getting certain parts CNC machined and laser cut.

There were many many more pictures for both of us, but you can see where our minds are in the metal! As you can see from his laser cut A-Arms he's no joke. So we use a small shop as our hobby shop to mess around with our own toys and to build stuff for Mazda's Smiley Anyways I hope this helps you guys understand that we mean business when we say we're taking our time and making these parts legit. Thanks for you time.
