trick to fight it...ask for a transfer to a county seat trial- if the county seat is far from where you got the ticket, the cop might not even come because it's too far from where he is stationed...Nonetheless, always ask for a trial, nothing to lose, if he shows up, just ask or beg for traffic school (but act as if you're in financial disaster and that you can't afford your insurance increasing)...HOWEVER, if they got you for rediculous over the speed limit, GOOD LUCK- judges are usually lenient when you go over between 5-10 MPH...

My brother just got a ticket in Arizona(right on the border) going to Havasu...do you think the transfer of counties would be ok since it's out of state? That would be sick because I doubt the cop would want to drive all the way from AZ to here. Thanks

No they won't allow state transfers, then how will the other state make money. That's where they get everybody. I travel a lot to AZ that I've become acostomed to it. They hide in the bushes in the middle of the freeway and clock you, then if they see the out of state plate they jump out and follow you for miles waiting to see you do something wrong. Most people don't have the time to deal with tickets as they travel so they just pay the fine through the mail. That's why they try so hard to get the people out of state.

trick to fight it...
+1 Fight that shit. You have nothing to lose.
My two tickets were both for 90+ mph in a 65 zone and the first one included a tint citation (which i got signed off by my wonderful PD friends
) The first one (w/tint) was $550 in SD County. The second one was $335 in OC. The fines vary by county.
The only drawback of fighting the tix, which i'm fighting both of mine --is that you have to pay the bail in cash/check/mo to get a trial date. Boo.
But it's so worth it for the chance to see that money again!
And if you dun have the dinero right now (like me) -- you can request a one-time 30 day extension on you court/bail due date.
Fight it ... Good luck!

I am still waiting for mine.
How much time it took for you to get the ticket in your mail from the time you got your ticket in the street ?

I got it on May-08, so almost 3 weeks now, I should be getting it shortly
keeping my fingers crossed
don't intend to fight it, pay the fine, take the traffic school class and get over with this
